The FT636 IP Iinterface is designed to allow remote control of a base station or repeater station via VoIP (Voice over IP) and RoIP (Radio over IP), covering almost endless distances. Since audio data and control data are converted to TCP/IP over Ethernet, any local area network (LAN) or the Internet can be used for transmission. This eliminates the need for having expensive fixed (leased) lines, allowing significant cost savings.

• Up to 2 base stations can be connected to a LAN or via the internet
• The FT636 IP interface is pin and function compatible with the FT634a-C/NL line interface
• Channel switching through a 5-tone sequence
• Switch on transmitter (PTT) by means of a potential-free relay contact
• Required bandwidth at 1 base station : min 96 kBit/s
• Required bandwidth with 2 base stations: min. 160 kBit/s
